ABOUT US

Céad míle fáilte and greetings from the Emerald Isle, land of saints and scholars.

Welcome to Christian Irish Diaspora Association (CIDA)

The Christian Irish Diaspora Association is an affiliated ministry of Divine Healing Ministries (DHM), a charity based in Belfast (divinehealingministries.org). Diaspora means dispersion of people from their original homeland. God put this vision in our hearts to carry out Jesus' words in Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all people." In the case of the Irish Diaspora, this means to connect with or gather the dispersed Christians from the Island of Ireland. The hope is to encourage as many people to:

  1. Pray for Ireland

  2. Pray for the People (Those living in the Island of Ireland and those who long to connect with Irish ancestral roots)

  3. Pray for Christian Unity

Pray for the Land

Over 70 to 80 million people are in the Irish Diaspora. Nearly half are in the USA, followed by Australia and Canada. Can you imagine if we could have Christians to join with us in praying for Ireland and their own land what a difference this would make?

To be practical about prayer for the land, we have teamed up with Prayer Ireland App. Feel free to download this using the link below.

“If my people who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Pray for the People

Another focus of our ministry is for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, to meet people at their very point of need, be that in Spirit, Soul and Body.

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5: 13-16)

Pray for Christian Unity

That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17: 21)

Our God is a God of loving unity. In a world exhausted by division and distracted by self-righteousness, we set aside our differences and our inward concern for only our own denomination so that we can follow Jesus, the Lord who has compassion for all.

In God’s word we see that unity commands a blessing. Psalm 133 verse 1- 3 says,

"How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along. It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard. Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes. It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life."

If the Lord Jesus gives you a heart for the Land, for Christian unity and for the people rooted in Ireland, please keep in touch by subscribing to this website and following us on YouTube and Facebook (coming soon). Wherever you are in the world, feel free to support us in practical ways as we cooperate with God's work.

We pray God’s richest blessing on you and those nearest and dearest to you.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

"It’s been a joy to hear of more and more people feeling the stirring of the Spirit to cry out to God for the island of Ireland.  We believe it is part of our spiritual legacy as a nation to overflow with the treasuries of the kingdom. But we need a fresh move of the Spirit here ourselves.  We long to steward once again a move of God unto the nations but as a people we need to taste of His goodness and glory once again. It’s wonderful, thanks to the 'Christian Irish Diaspora Association’ to see another spiralling network of prayer for Ireland building momentum and we pray God will catalyse even more in the days ahead."

Alain Emerson, National Director

24-7 Prayer Ireland

“The Irish are known worldwide for their hospitality, the door is open, there’s a seat at the table and the kettle is always on! So will you pull up a chair wherever you are and join with us and others around the world in prayer through the Christian Irish Diaspora Association for this cherished land, the land of saints, scholars and missionaries. Father, revive, restore and ignite a fresh passion and purpose in the people of Ireland once again.”

Andy Campbell, Organiser

Healing the Land

"Now, like never before, I believe that God is stirring the hearts of his people to pray for the island of Ireland. All around the world there are Christians with Irish roots and DNA that are being drawn together to believe that revival will once more sweep across Ireland. We are delighted to partner with ‘The Christian Irish Diaspora Association’ and pray that each of you, wherever in the world you are, will be encouraged, equipped and empowered in all that you do."

Tommy Stewart, Founder

Christians Who Lead

"It’s most encouraging to see so many of God’s people from different ministries engaging in fervent prayer for Ireland at this time of uncertainty and confusion. This I believe will bring a turnaround and a great spiritual awakening that can transform the atmosphere in this land and far beyond.

"Isaiah 52:7-8 says,

'How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
8 Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion.'

"We can all be proclaimers of good news right in the midst of so much negativity. Thanks so much to ‘The Christian Irish Diaspora Association’ and all those joining together with them. May you go from strength to strength as you are led of the Holy Spirit in these extraordinary times. I am deeply grateful to you for all the wonderful work you do in Jesus name."
